March is coming.....

March is in full swing at Seymour Helping Hands, and our calendar is blooming with activity! Alongside our regular programs — including our Community Pantry and Parent Pantry — we are gearing up for a season full of connection, outreach, and fun for all ages.

We kick things off on March 6th with our Thunder Bear Storm Safety Program. Through our partnership with KFDX-TV Chief Meteorologist Michael Bohling, we will bring this exciting and educational program to Seymour Elementary. Thunder Bear teaches children about severe weather awareness and storm safety in a way that is engaging, memorable, and empowering. Living in Texas, we know how important it is for our kids to understand how to stay safe during storm season, and we are proud to help provide that knowledge.

On March 7th, we invite the entire community to join us for our Community-Wide Baby Shower from 2:00–4:00 PM. This special outreach event helps us stock our Parent Pantry with much-needed items such as baby wipes, rash creams, diapers (newborn through size 4), and other essentials for new and expectant parents. Representatives from WIC and other helpful organizations will be on hand to provide valuable information and resources. Be sure to put your name in the jar while you’re there for a chance to win a beautiful diaper cake for an expectant mom you know. This event is a wonderful way for our community to come together and support families during such an important season of life.

We’ll wrap up Spring Break week on March 14th with a Family Fun Day at the Bike/Skate Park in Seymour! Join us for games, laughter, and lots of free prizes as we celebrate the arrival of spring. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to get outdoors, enjoy time together, and close out Spring Break with smiles and great memories.
