’Twas the month before Christmas

’Twas the month before Christmas, all through our town,
The lights were a-twinkle, no one wearing a frown.
The helpers were busy at Helping Hands’ place,
Bringing kindness and cheer with a smile on each face.
The shelves were all stocked with good things to share,
Food and warm items to show that we care.
From canned goods and soap to a blanket or two,
Each gift was a blessing from me and from you.
Volunteers hustled from morning till night,
Sorting donations with hearts shining bright.
They wrapped up the gifts, tied the bows tight and neat,
Making sure every family had something sweet.
The scent of fresh baking filled up the air,
With laughter and kindness spread everywhere.
Neighbors helping neighbors, that’s what we do best,
Seymour’s spirit of giving outshines all the rest.
So as Christmas draws near, let’s all lend a hand,
To brighten the season across Baylor land.
For when our community works side by side,
The joy of the holidays spreads far and wide.
From Seymour Helping Hands to all, far and near,
Merry Christmas to everyone—and a happy new year!
